Mya Systems Named to the CB Insights 2018 AI 100 List
Mya Systems just had the honor of being named to CB Insights coveted AI 100 list! The venture capital database compiles the list to recognize “the 100 most promising private artificial intelligence companies in the world.”
The credit for this award goes to our world-class team at Mya Systems, and the groundbreaking work they’ve done to create the proprietary AI technology behind our virtual recruiter, Mya. When we envisioned Mya, we set out to build the best conversational AI solution to address the inefficiencies in recruiting and improve the experience for both job candidates and recruiters. I’m proud to say that in addition to this award, Mya Systems was also recently recognized by Bersin by Deloitte’s 2017 Disruptions Report, Recruiter.com’s Top 10 Recruiting Tools, and Kairos Society’s K50. I’m grateful to be working alongside such talented people!
There are lots of great AI start-ups worldwide, so CB Insights had their work cut out for them in selecting 100 companies to name to the list. The organization narrowed the choices down by looking at data from over 1,000 applications and nominees and using what they call The Mosaic Score, an algorithm that measures the health and growth potential of those companies.
Here are some quick facts on the AI 100:
- The 100 emerging private companies have raised $6.6B across 99 deals in 2017.
- Applications of their technology include breakthroughs in fintech, digital health, auto tech, robotics, and much more.
- More than 1,000 companies were nominated or applied and only 9% were selected.
- Eleven AI 100 companies have reached a valuation of $1B or more.
- Thirty-three companies on the list were also on the list for 2017, with 67 new companies making it for 2018.
- Nine countries are represented among the AI 100 companies.
